Photo Recap: Mario Testino Fashion Icon Exhibition

LA's Prism gallery hosted an opening for one of the most famous and admired fashion photographers of the generation Mario Testino. This is his first exhibition in Los Angeles in 7 years covering some of photographers most recognized images and several new works. Mario Testino is responsible for launching careers of Kate Moss, Giselle and many many more. Check out our recap beyond the fold. The exhibition opens to public on February 26th and runs thru March 30th.

Two Thousand Piece Camera Collection

Currently listed on ebay this insane two thousand piece collection of cameras and photo equipment took fifty plus years to assemble. Consisting of almost every camera brand imaginably from turn of the century until now is a sight to behold. Even if you aren't planning to bid on this jaw dropping collection it's still very much worth a closer look.

Mark Ryden does Tyler the Creator's "Wolf" Album Cover

One of the most respected and admired pop surrealist American painters Mark Ryden was commissioned to do the cover for Tyler's upcoming album, "Wolf". It's an interesting yet unlikely choice but the result is as expected amazing. Peep the art work above and we are sure you've already heard Tyler's latest track and seen the video.

Shattered Glass Sculptures

Polish artist Marta Klonowska makes stunning life-sized animal sculptures constructed out of multicolored shards of broken glass. To create each sculpture, Klonowska first makes a metal carcass of the animal then meticulously glues each shard of glass one by one. Peep the result beyond the fold.

Eduardo Kobra's Tribute to Oscar Niemeyer

Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra completed this massive tribute to architect Oscar Niemeyer which measures 52 meters tall by 16 meters wide. The skyscraper mural can be seen on Paulista Avenue, one of Sao Paolo's busiest streets. More images after the click

Urban Camo by Roeland Otten

Dutch designer Roeland Otten uses photo prints and mosaic tiles and paint to camouflage awkwardly placed urban eyesores such as communications or utility buildings on the city streets. In this latest project the artist camouflaged the small concrete building housing electric wiring on the street in Amsterdam, the result is quite interesting. Peep the photos beyond the fold.

The Vans OTW Collection rolls out two new colorways of the Pritchard and an additional color-up of the Piercy in the Military pack. Taking style cues from the uniforms of the armed forces, each silhouette is dressed in hickory canvas twill or premium suede with metal eyelet detailing and striped Navy-inspired lining. Woodkid - "I Love You"

In this latest "Woodkid" short film Yoann Lemoine who is the director and the performer behind the project continues to explore the story he started with the first video and it's still as powerful, imaginative and incredibly stylish. Watch the video above.

Flexible Sculptures by Li Hongbo

Chinese artist Li Hongbo makes these really fascinating flexible paper sculptures made of thousands tightly assembled laser cut pieces of paper that have same flexibility as let's say a slinky. The inspiration comes from the traditional Chinese hand cut paper festive lanterns and toys. Once the sculptures are pulled apart they take a really interesting and unexpected shape. Mister Cartoon for Vans Custom Culture 2013

A few of our favorite designers, artists and celebrities customized blank pairs of Vans Classics in support of this year's Custom Culture competition. Longtime friend of Vans and West Coast street art legend Mister Cartoon serves as one of the ambassadors for this year's program and brought his graffiti style to a pair of Slip-Ons. Vans Custom Culture is a nationwide high school competition that gives students the opportunity to customize their own Vans and win big money for their schools! Space 15 Twenty hosted a launch event this past Saturday for the Love Me x Vans "House of Hearts" collaboration. We stopped by to recap the festivities. The artist behind the ever present Love Me tag Curtis Kulig was on hand to do his host duties with live performance by Sky Ferreira and DJ sets by Aska.
