Xavier Veilhan at Richard Neutra's VDL House
"Architectones", an installation by French artist Xavier Veilhan opened last week at The Neutra VDL Research House . Veilhan has created a new body of work specifically for the Modernist house Richard Neutra
designed for his family and architectural practice. The installation
consisting of sculptures throughout the property that reflect the
decades of the last century by focusing on the personal and professional
history of Neutra, his times, and Veilhanās interaction with the house.
Most of the works are done in strict black fiberglass and fit in
strangely organically in the furnishings of the house almost as they
belong there. The exhibition is on view until September 19th and
shouldn't be missed.
