I have been running into a lot of the greatest MCs of our time lately. I went downtown to the Highline Ballroom to see Idle Warship. Idle Warship is collaboration between Talib Kweli and Res. This is one of my favorite groups at this time. This group has there own sound that is very different from what’s out there at this time. The crowd was pumped up when they heard the music start.

Talib took the stage and was performing some of classics. I think Talib is one of the top 10 mc’s to ever touch a microphone. When Jay-Z says that he wish he could lyrically be Talib Kweli you know he is something special.

It's always great to see a live band play live. The music sounds so rich when you hear people play instruments. Hearing an MC and a singer over a band is where hip-hop is headed.

Talib Kweli and Res give a good performance. There is a lot of soul going on in there show. I really believe that Res is still one of the top female signers in the game. If you don’t know about Res, Google her.

There was a surprise guest in the crowd. Ryan Leslie was in the building. Ryan took the stage and was playing on the keyboard singing to all the lovely ladies in the house. Once he finished signing Talib conducted a interview on stage.
