In NY there is always something to do. I went out to Brooklyn Bowl. Yeah Brooklyn Bowl is like Lucky Strike times 10. It’s a bowling and concert venue. It's one of the coolest bowling lanes I ever been to. It's so fun to watch people bowl and drink at the same time. I think it should be against the law. One girl dropped the ball on her foot. LOL
The place was packed as usual. I tell you the dance floor at this bowling alley can fit at least 800 people. This is bigger than a lot of clubs. One of the coolest things is they have big screens and always showing cool stuff on them. This time they had old episodes of Soul Train. How classic is it to be dancing and then watching Rick James on the screen?
A lot of great MCs and DJs come out of Brooklyn just to name a few there is DJ Clarke Kent, Dj Enuff and Mr. Cee. Then to name MCs Of course there is the Notorious BIG, Jay-Z and Mos Def. When it comes to an MC and DJ combo there are only a few that are from Brooklyn. I went over to the DJ booth and caught up with BK’s own Talib Kweli. Talib had a great set and it was cool to see him spin some of his own records.
If you are ever in New York make sure you go to Brooklyn and maybe you can check out Talib on the 1s and 2s at Brooklyn Bowl.
