Via SNAV: Words with Rich Medina

I had a chance to catch up with a good friend of mine, Rich Medina, and talk to him about what he has going. Rich is one of my favorite DJs in the game. He is a legend in his own. Check out the interview after the jump!
When did you start DJing?

What is your favorite thing about it?
Being able to take people away from whatever is bothering them with a song or sequence of songs.

How was it being on Master of the Mix?
Being on Master of the Mix was incredible. The idea of putting my skills to the test under the pressure of heavy competition, judges, and television cameras was just what I needed when it happened. I loved the entire experience.
What similarities do disc jockeying and poetry have?
With each discipline you have the bully pulpit and can dictate the tone or sentiment in a room with a word, sound or idea.

What is the first thing that comes to mind you think about Philly DJs?
Technical prowess.

What can we expect next from Rich Medina?
You can expect my new LP, and three other brand new LPs in 2012 as well as more TV, more multimedia diversification and more record spinning. Aside from that, stay tuned for my first book, RM merchandise and co-branded product relationships.
