Photo Recap: KC Ortiz and Pose "White Wash" at Known Gallery

Known Gallery hosted a private opening for KC Ortiz and POSE show "White Wash" Both artists are Chicago natives and come from a graffiti background they even had a beef with each other before becoming best friends and collaborators. Pose showed 15 new works in the main gallery, his work is rendered in his signature style—aggressive, hand-painted collages of pop-culture icons and ephemera—but feature deeper abstractions and new mediums, 6 of them were done on plexiglass. KC Ortiz showed 12 photographs of West Papua and Burma’s armed struggles, bringing attention to lesser known war zone. KC Ortiz collaborated with RETNA on a piece and Pose did a piece with REVOK especially for the show. Look out for our video interview with the guys and check out a photo recap after the jump. The show is opened until December 10th.
