Legendary reunited "SLEEP" played a sold out show at The Wiltern this past Sunday night. 2.5 hours of pure stoner doom metal from the legends was truly a treat. "SLEEP" a three piece outfit pioneered the genre all the way back in the early 90's only to release 2 records officially, a couple of bootlegs and what became a legendary 1 Hour 15 minute long track "Dopesmoker" (after years of drama released in 2003) the band broke up in 1998 creating hope to reunite once again. ( do yourself a favor and watch the documentary about the band here ) LA's show opened with a shorter 25 minute version of "Dopesmoker" followed by pretty much every favorite track ever coupled with fantastic visuals.
