Mixtapes for a Cause: DJ Jay-P's JustRight Project

The JustRight project launched in January 2011 and is headed by California disc jockey DJ Jay-P. The goal of the project is to raise awareness to the youth about the poverty in the Philippines and to build homes for families with the harshest living conditions.

The JustRight mix was released in February and features tracks from Talib Kweli, Pharrell, Q-Tip, Mos Def, Pete Rock, CL Smooth just to name a few. Proceeds from the mixtape and from fundraising events will be donated to the ANCOP Foundation (USA) Inc. to build homes in the Aytona Village in the Sorsogon Province, Phillipines.

Initially, The JustRight Project was scheduled to end this month but has been rescheduled to end in December. Currently, Jay-P has two JustRight tours planned for Toronto and the Philippines and is working on putting together a few New York and San Francisco events.

Check out the JustRight website for updates and donation information.
