MapleXO x Grove iPhone 4 Case

Founded by Lindsay Jo Holmes in 2005, the concept of MapleXO was based around creating a range of products from jewelry such as rings, necklaces to bracelets. Holmes decided to work with skateboards because the board itself proved to be resourceful in creating her products but more so because she also related and supported the unique brotherhood/sisterhood of skateboarding and the various artwork usually adorned on skateboards.

The latest project coming from MapleXO is in collaboration with another environmentally conscience company Grove founded by Joe Mansfield and Ken Tomita. Grove cases are mostly handmade with the help of precision machinery in Portland, Oregon. These unique iPhone cases derived from skateboard decks. The various colors and grains remind me of what Paul Smith provides in his suit linings. Beautiful and limited to only 50 cases.
