The Talented Mr. Bret Easton Ellis

Bret Easton Ellis is an American novelist of modern fiction. His stories weaves the dark stories of rebellious youth. To be more specific, most of these tales revolve around the lives of the privileged and the decadent lifestyles that these people live within. Ellis' claim to fame was his debut novel, Less Than Zero that was quickly adopted into a feature film. A story of the vapid life in the early '80s where glitz and glam ruled, where lifestyles of the rich and famous took an extended look into the dark side. What's really interesting is that Less Than Zero came out when Mr. Ellis was only 23 years old. It would be safe to assume that Mr. Ellis would be well on his way to tell more stories in the years to come.

Here's the trailer of Less Than Zero featuring a slew of young faces that you might recognize.

Aside from the many great novels Mr. Ellis has written which include American Psycho and Imperial Bedrooms to name a few. American Psycho was later made into a feature film starring the actor behind Dark Knight, Mr. Christian Bale.

I find the process and approach in which Mr. Ellis employs ever so fascinating. Take a listen from the man himself below:
