Mon Oncle by Jaques Tati

French filmmaker Jaques Tati really was ahead of his time. He understood a thing or two about creating worlds. What is more interesting about Tati's work is his ability to present his work as pieces of a performance art. Every detail is exact and conforms to strict rule. I would suggest that one must have patience to understand the full scope of Tati's work but anyone who has the sensibility and understanding of fine lines and sparse space will appreciate Tati's unique universe.
